normally it's lack of communication, the 'spark' going out or having affairs.

If you thought that you would have the FIZZ going forever I can very well understand that you are now both disappointed. A real life partnership can never live up to the glossy imaginations of what it “should” be, projected upon us from TV and movies.

The true challenge in every relationship lies in mastering the every day cores – and still keep it at a fun level.

The FIZZ is sparkling attraction which is great. But what is it that the two of you have in common above that? Do you share the same interests? Do you have a mutual hobby? Do you maybe cook together? Do you even share the same values and understanding of a relationship?

Once it’s clear that you both have a solid foundation, the rest can be dealt with. There are many fun websites where you can get easy and really fun inspirations for a little romance in the daily routine. However, this should be the responsibility of both partners. It is about both of you giving out of the sheer pleasure of making that special someone feel good and without really demanding anything back. It is also about being able to receive with an open mind and without any expectations.

Remember: You are both responsible for your own happiness. It is not the job of your partner to make you happy!

Yea, i would say lack of communication and/or an affair..
At 9months, the first part of your relationship has slowed down and you are getting used to each other..what you need to look at is if you are just bored because you don't do anything ( you can always start maming an effort but you did mention you've tried...remember that a relationship is always a two way thing, it's not all up to you to make the relationship exciting) or if you are actually bored with this person. Can you see a future with her?
I my relationship, things did slow down after 9 months but we still take care of each other and make sure we do things that are special every now and then...and most importantly, i know i want to be with him.

Blimey thats quick.Have been with my partner for 20 years and get on better than ever.In my experience its usually a good few years before the spark goes.If you are that keen on each other you both need to work at it and make an effort every day, otherwise maybe its just not meant to be.Nowaday i think couples are under a lot more pressure, and finding time for one another can be difficult. If its meant to be, it will be.Good luck!

theres a difference when youre just bored, and when the love has died.

if youre the type of person who needs to be 'in love' to stay in the relationship, youre most likely to split up.

about your question, i can find a couple of reasons, in no particular order because im no expert:

1. third party
2. youve grown apart

...well, make it 2 reasons. i think everything else boils down to either or both of them.

but of course its worth a try to talk things out and work together to keep the flame burning.

Dear Kevin,

Honestly I believe its the fact you both were just both were not both "gut" honest with eachother and then resentments built on both sides!

If you think its worth saving so bring her a single rose before friday Valentinesday and go have a heart to heart talk with her THIS will be the MOST romantic gesture that will make her cry and fall into your arms! TRUST ME IM a girl!

The truth is relationships do go stale and they need to be spiced up a little bit. Maybe try something different in the bedroom ( maybe something youd really love to do that is a bit well- kinky).

Good liuck in your relationship and I hope you iron out the wrinkles, so to speak!

Couples split up because of some indifferences and incompatibility.
In your case, perhaps she realized after 9 months of dating that you're not her type.
