my 14 month old son had his mmr about 10 days ago and has recently had a high temperature and has a little rash on his belly is it a reaction from the jab or something else, just wondering if anybody elses child went like this after mmr

spoke to deoctor he said a reaction from the jab would take about 10 days but there are also viral infections around wanted to know if anyone with children after mmr had experienced same thing

no it is a reaction to the jab my son had his and two weeks later had a high temp and a rash everywere it wore of i think it was about 7-8 days.dont worry but remember to keep a close eye on him for a few days and if you get concerd take him straight back..good luck and i hope your son feels better soon

My son had a reaction to the MMR. High feaver, yes. He did get a rash, but I almost didn't notice it, because it came at the end of the feaver and was light. Sounds like your son had a reaction to the MMR. Use infant IBpreufen to help keep the fever down.

My son had slight rash and high temp 10 days after but was told this would possibly happen, just gave him calpol he was fine 2.8years now no lasting effect (only a few days rash stayed).

We were wondering the same thing--our 15 mth old has been feverish and full of cold and catarrh ever since his Jab 3 weeks ago.Dr says its just co-incidence.Hope he soon feels better.Ours is teething and always has a bad time with each tooth he cuts.

i have a book about mmr jab.it says measles rubella kinda rashes appear days or weeks after the jab.it shows mmr vaccine has worked

That's exactly the reaction my son had. The timing is right as well - dont' worry about it - it's perfectly normal, nothing a spoonful of Calpol won't sort out.

Could be a reaction neither of mine had any sort of reaction.I would pop along to the dr a let them take a look.

I would expect any reaction to show up much faster - after all, it's a direct injection into the body. However, check with the doctor - they are the experts, unlike anyone in here...

yes my son had this reaction too, i just gave him calpol and he was fine again within a couple of days
