all of a sudden my always stable computer as started to freeze at the
very begining.Where it shows the bios details.When i try to press delete to enter setup it wont do anything.Trying to reboot from the windows xp disk doesnt work either.Does anyone know how i can get around this.
your help would be greatly appreciated.

Open your PC and remove the small, round battery (looks like a watch one) this will reset the CMOS. do this for arount 10 - 15 seconds whilst unplugged. Then set to boot from CD, and re-instal windows. This should work fine.Also check that your RAM are in place properly and all cables are plugged in correctly.

You need to open up your cpu and check the capacitors on the motherboard, look for any signs of bulging, they have to be replaced.

You need an expect friend to look at this for you - nothing anyone says here is going to help without seeing it hands-on...

You may have a trojan/virus in there. Try booting it up in safe mode. Then scan for bugs
