Has anyone carried out a home pregnancy test before their missed period & had a positive result? I know you can get some that will test up to 4 days before your expected period but has anybody tested before this & if so how long? Thanks!

As a matter of fact! i took one a few hours ago and i am not due for my period for just under 2 wks! i got a FAINT line and my fiance isnt convinced but i know! its possitive:) ur HCG is stronger father along the pregnancy and that is what the test will read. one thing is for sure... POSSITIVE IS POSSITIVE! its best to check again each day or so if u really have to know and make sure ur cycle is calculated properly!good luck:) x

Yes i did!
I got a BFP on wednesday last week and my period isnt due until tomorrow!!
I used first response and got a faint positve and used a diptest x 4 and all 4 were positive, i used the second first response test on saturday nite and it turned positve while i was peeing on it ( sorry tmi), and the line was as dark as the control line!
I mite be one of the lucky ones who have a high level of HCG, let me also add i came off the pill 8 months ago, the last 2 cycles i had were 35 days so i am going off a 35 day cycle. meaning i found out on day 29.

I tried one of those early detection tests the day I expected my period, and got a negative result. I didn't get a positive result until 2 days later.
I must have got my dates messed up, but they aren't all that reliable if used early - only 56% reliable if used 4 days early, and then the reliabilty improves a little each day until the first day of your missed period. It tells you on the packet.

yes i have done a pregnancy test before my period i think it was also about 4days early and got a positive result it just depends on home much pregnancy hormone in your body the best time to do it though is 1st thing on a morning my daughter is know 6months old. best of luck to you

My mate took a test before her period and it came back positive! so it can be done you just need the right test not one that you have to take after your missed period!

yes i did!
I wasn't late for my period, i think i had 3 days before I was due on but i didnt feel right. I got a test on impulse and it turned out positive.

I was able to get a BFP 10 days after ovulation (3-5 days before my period) with a regular old generic HPT.

i did a test 3 days before my period was due and it came up positive this was with a normal hpt, good luck

yes, this one i have here i havent actally used yet but it can be done 7 days before a due period.
