Subject: NO COFFEE FOR THE MARINES (Not StarBucks anyway)

NO COFFEE FOR THE MARINES

Their coffee is tasting more and more bitter.....

STARBUCKS DENIES COFFEE TO MARINES

Recently Marines in Iraq wrote to Starbucks because they wanted to let them
know how much they liked their coffees and to request that they send some
of it to the troops there.

Starbucks replied, telling the Marines thank you for their support of their
business, but that Starbucks does not support the war, nor anyone in it,
and that they would not send the troops their brand of coffee.

So as not to offend Starbucks, maybe we should not support them by buying
any of their products! As a war vet writing to fellow patriots, I feel we
should get this out in the open. I know this war might not be very popular
with some folks, but that doesn't mean we don't support the boys on the
ground fighting street-to-street and house-to-house for what they and I
believe is right.

If you feel the same as I do then pass this along, or you can discard it
and no one will never know. Thanks very much for your support. I know
you'll all be there again when I deploy once more.

PLEASE DON'T DELETE THIS .. ALLOW IT TO BE PASSED TO ALL IN MEMORY OF ALL
THE TROOPS WHO HAVE DIED SO THAT WE MAY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE TO
SUPPORT THEM OR NOT!!!

It's too bad, I liked Starbucks

Nice try but after what happen at the Starbucks near the WTC on 9/11 they know better than to get poltical or even have negative press.

Also kind of dumb to cut off one of their biggest consumer those in the military.

i do not even ought to imagine about this one. Dunkin' Donuts. I drink dissimilar espresso (about a pot an afternoon), yet I do basically not look after Starbucks. perhaps that is the reality that I in trouble-free terms delight in authentic espresso, and not in any respect cappucinos.

it sounds a bit unbelievable to me but if it was true then I'd say that the reason is that starbucks had their power going to their heads. They have so musch success that they renamed the coffee sizes so that when people part with the 5 dollars for the cuppa coffee they don't feel like they've been cheated. that's all I have to say hope I helped!!!

This is an urban legend. Sgt Wright retracted the email. He had no business attaching his name, rank and unit to such a thing, incidentally.

I think it would be ridiculous to be writing to companies begging for free stuff anyway.

I know you've had a "latte" responses. Snopes.com is, as others have pointed out, an excellent source for checking out these types of stories. Sometimes they are legit, other times not.
