i have a lot of american egal and hollister and what not polos but i see that a lot of people wear them with shirts under neath them is that the style ,and does it have to match ? thank you

I think it looks much better to wear a t-shirt underneath a polo. As far as matching, usually a white undershirt will do just fine. It can be another color - but if it is.. be sure that yes, it does match. =)

Boy, whatever makes u feel comfortable. If you feel that the people wearing Tshirts underneath them look better than u wearing nothing underneath them, go get a t shirt.
Regarding ur second question. No, they don't need to match. Giovani taught us this in his summer 2006 colection. As long as it goes with something, be it a belt buckle, shoe sole, watch or earring. It doesn't have to be the most perfect colour marriage of the season, but please, it has to match something. That is, if you even see it.
So go out there, and wear what u think is pretty. Be it a trenshcoat with flippers or a plastic bag with jimmy choo's. Fasion for us guys isn't about what's hot and new in the trend department. And it hasn't been for quite some time now. It's about what makes you look good. That is unless you live with a cosmo attached to ur face. GQ would tell you just that.

I think it depends on two things, the weather and if you are in shape. If you don't have the nicest body than go with the undershirt. Also, if it is the middle of summer you can go without. I would suggest wearing a "wife-beater" with it if you decide to go shirtless. As far as the undershirt matching or not, go with something simple. White or grey seems to go with most colors. If you start to go crazy with perfect matching you defeat the purpose of the polo, and that is being casual and clean cut. Good luck.

Guys around here don't wear shirts under their polos. Either way would look alright. If you d wear a shirt underneath, it doesn't have to match, just coordinate with the polo. :)

Yes, it's a good idea to were a white shirt under. Preferably a long sleeve one. Or if that's not your style just were a plain white undershirt I think it looks better than not having it.

I personally think it looks slightly goofy, but that's personal opinion I guess. If other people in your circle or that you wish to emulate are doing it, there's nothing wrong with it - it's just a look.
For the T-shirt, you can use white, black, or if you're good with matching/contrasting colors you can do that too.

most wear them if it is cold, but you can go either way.
an under shirt just looks better.
you can't go wrong with a white shirt, but if you can match it it is even better
