Yes, Bill Gates helps the poor in someway literally everyday. However, due to his more relaxed, and some might say reclusive, personality you just do not see and hear about it from him or his workers in the media as you may so often see with other big dollar buffs such as Oprah, Bono, other various artists, Donald Trump, etc… Bill Gates actually has his own nonprofit (as if he needed the money) charity in addition to giving away millions to other charities too. It is rightly called the Bill and Melinda (his wife) Gates Charity Foundation. Here is a link to both some quick facts about his charity as well as the link to his official charity website.

I don't think Bill Gates is directly helping poor people but he has contributed large sums of money to charities that help poor people. So yes, Bill Gates is helping out poor people through donations to charity.

Bill Gates has helped poor people since the day Microsoft was founded. Forget about charity. Microsoft has raised the standard of living for every person on this planet except those oppressed by their own governments.

maybe by donating money to the organization that support poor people... that is the way Bill Gates is helping...
but if you ask bout the softwares they are producing like Microsoft i don't think it could help the poor as all of its softwares should be paid in order to gain the license
it is not like Linux where everything is free to download on the internet

bill Gates is between the biggest philanthropists in the international. His charity is worth over $30 billion, and he has to provide a minimum of 5% away each and every twelve months to maintain status as a charity. At minimum it truly is $a million.5 billion each and every year. So i imagine he would supply $a million to a nasty individual.

I think in the main thrust of his business operations, on the whole, Bill is not helping poor people (in the developing world).
Personally, as a private benefactor, undoubtedly, yes.
Better than most of his peers, I guess.
