I've been haunted by this song for years, I first heard it in grade nine ecause the school choir sang it and there is something about the melody that just stays with you, I have to say I cry everytime I see it.

It is not necessary a heart of stone to watch and feel very little. I myself feel sad for the children of the world. Unfortunately, it is their own countries that are killing them off.
To use your own children as soldiers or shields is a sign that these countries care very little.
Sending millions or even billions of dollars will only give the governments more money to buy arms to kill even more people.
In fact, when some of these countries get food aid, the food goes usually to the people in power first which may then give a morsel to the people (let alone the children).
So in closing, yes the video was moving and keeping a heart of stone is hard. However, when there comes a day when we can change the behavior of these corrupt governments (hell my mother and father in law were missionaries in Morocco and had be be careful not to even mention Christianity to the people or be jailed) can we solve these problems head on.
Continuing to play these videos serve only as a reminder as to how lucky we are and and perhaps we should help our own poor before tacking another countries one.

All of us has a heart for the children of our nation...There are lot of them in my country...war and poverty robs their youth..i'm feeling sad seeing them helpless...
