zombies? :-p?

this is just for my own personal curiosity..

OF all the different Zombie movies, ppl die and come back to 'life' by transfer of the virus through blood contact. it seems the most (if only) logical reason that it could come about would be chemical/viral/experimental whatnot that has gone all f**ked up.
Do you think with the world testing sh*t like this all the time, do you think that it could be possible for something liek that to occur? Humans coming in contact with a virus, man-made, that kills them but leaves their body still driven by the basic functions until the brain dies off, which could take months, if it was looked at by a medical standpoint unstead of a scientific one.
