or if there was something more you could have said to help or if there was a way to get them help when they are in a state that they cannot help themselves? It is so sad to see a public cry for help like that and know that all I can give are words and soothing thoughts and hope that that person decides for the moment that its not worth ending their own life. Its so sad that more and more of humanity is turning towards suicide as an option rather than seeking help, sometimes it is a chemical imbalance othertimes someone just wants to be heard and valued.

No, I have too many worries of my own to borrow theirs.
If they took the time to post the question here, odds are they are just looking for sympathy and not serious about killing themselves.
Generally when people make the real decision to take their life, they sneak away and do it quietly because they do not want someone to stop them.
The human condition has always been hard and some people just cope better than others, and there is NOTHING you can do on this site to help the people who really want to die.

I try and help them as much as I can, try and e-mail them if they allow it and just start chatting, I give them stars and go to their profile and answer all their questions. Most of them are teenagers and all they need is support and love and attention. We must all help to try and give them any support we are able too, they are just kids and if you think back we all had our bad teenage moments#

Months ago a man was threatening to jump off the roof of his building.
A couple of us talked him out of it.
He came back on the next day and thanked us.

well they tend to disapear - so for once i hope its cos they are suspended by yahoo - cos thats the lesser of the 2 evils
