no, the girls can also give gifts to boys .But the main thing is that the girls are unable to buy gifts 4 their boy friends because the parents always have a watch on their daughter and they observe whatever they do and wherever they go untill they get married .Bu in case of boys it is different .After a certain period of time the boys are given all sorts of freedom.but that doesnt mean that the parents doesnt care for their son i think i have been a bit close to the answer that u have expected
