No, you are quite right. But until Lions learn to use guns we are still top of the food chain. I agree that as a speciies we have a horrible arrogance.

Until we decide to stop being so narcissistic and look past the end of our own nose nothing will change. Selfishness isn't progression and our arrogance comes from always putting self first. Everything in nature gives except for the selfish human heart. We should learn from the creatures in the so-called bottom of the food chain maybe then we'd have a bit of humility.

Because we assume that since we are the most intelligent species on our tiny planet, that the same must apply with the whole universe. Although we are, arguably at the top of the food chain, when we work together that is.

Galileo showed that we are not the centre.
Arrogant as a species, I think some people just have difficulty seeing things from other points of view.

Our society is about to get a huge slap up the mouth...in a few short years when the oil runs out.....and then we won't be so arrogant.

I think a lot of humans have come around, but not the ones in charge. I think religion promotes human arrogance. I still think humans are the cancer cells on the host planet and we are killing it and ourselves.
