it depends on the board exams of class X or XII.
i will appear in class XII board exams in march'07from CBSE.i study NCERT,which is my text book.as reference book, i prefer Moderns ABC & Toghthers.i m in science stream.

see every book is equally good
except book one must have some help book like Lakhmir singh, rd sharma, enrich etc so as to have xtra knowledge
and plz concentrate on one book only
donot have many books otherwise u ll be jumbled
just two books as xtra book is sufficient
