The best gifts are those that come straight from the heart. Gifts that money simply cannot buy. why not gather some pics of the two of you and place them in an album or frame, along with a poem written by yourself from the heart. may sound a bit cheezy but no doubt it will be appreciated. hope this helps kafx

I have just lost my job and so money is tight till I get sorted again.I would have taken my girlfriend out for a meal but instead this year I am treating her to a candlelit dinner at home.
I know she will appreciate the thought and effort rather than the expense.
try cooking his favourite meal and perhaps meet him from work to make his day seem shorter or meet him for lunch as a surprise.A lunchtime snack will be a lot cheaper than the prices they will be charging in the evening.
Good luck

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

An electric razor. Music or a Book by an author He likes. I would love it if someone gave me a book by Ann Coulter or Michael Medved, or Hugh Hewitt, or Michael Savage, or Laura Ingraham, or Tony Blankley etc. Especially if the book was on tape. Maybe a study Bible like the Dake.

I just thought of an idea and shared it with someone else:
A pound store card and flower or sweets.
A simple meal of meatloaf, two vege and afters within your remaining budget.
From the heart, that is what counts the most!

Just make a collage of the pictures of you with your boyfriend (taken while sharing moments of course) and put it in a nice, classy picture frame. It's really thoughtful and cute.
