hmmm..... well are u sure its not your misscarriage coming out still (im sorry to say that =[ ) but you shoudl ask your doctor botu it and get checked otu to be safe! but i have had periods liek that when i was younger. if it is HEAVY and you are experiencing alot of cramping then tell your doctor. you soudl bring it up to them anyways to be safe! please tell your doctor! =] i emailed you back with pics this time! yay!. feel better!

but irregular periods while you are young is normal. sometimes you can have 2 periods a month. sometimes you can have 2 periods a year. it can be very irregular when you are young. just mention it to your doctor.

good luck!

You should call your doctor. Sometimes periods can fluctuate, but two weeks is a bit much. There may be something going on that you will need treatment for. If the bleeding were light, it could possibly just be a fluctuation, but if the bleeding is heavy as you implied you will need to be seen. You need to worry also about the loss of blood. Heavy bleeding for two weeks can cause you to become anemic, and can cause problems in other parts of your body. Give your doctor a call first thing this morning. Let them know how severe it has been and they will probably work you in today. Even if it ends up being nothing, better safe than sorry. Good Luck.

hi, i would go and see a doctor if your period is very heavy and you have had it for 2 weeks.I don't agree with the person above me who said anything over 5 days is unhealthy that's not true..... all girls in my family and there is alot of them, have completely normal periods that last up to 8 days normally though by the forth day they have slowed down alot maybe the person above me ment any heavy period that lasts longer than 5 days is unhealthy? Also have you just started you periods lately or have you been getting them for a long time? if you have only just started getting them sometimes they are really weird and irregular for the first few however, weather you have only started getting periods recently or have had them for a few years 2 weeks of heavy bleeding doesn't sound quite right so make an appointment with your GP just to put your mind at ease.

Hi, I can relate to your experience since my bud also had the same situation ~

If the period lasts more than 15 days it is a big problem indeed. It has nothing to do with unhealthy food as the guy up there mentioned, it's all about your hormones.

The best advice I can give is to consult with doctor -- since each woman's problems are relatively different from the others!

Good luck! ;)

You are perfectly normal. No need to worry about anything. This is totally fine for an average 14 year old. Mine are heavy somedays, and light others. Adolescentce... ahh... so many confusing things.

Here's a tip! I have never tried this before, but it's definately worth giving a shot because a lot of people say that it works. Suck on lemons. There is something in that fruit that SHORTENS and LIGHTENS you period. Good luck!

most times a females period changes over time but in your case you say there is alot of it. If you are soaking a pad each hour then call the doctor asap....but if it appears just to be a heavy flow and it still concerns you then call the doctor if you feel that will help. Like I said a females period changes each month.

My friend had hers last for over a month before it stopped! It was really weird! She was 14 too. It turned out there was something wrong with some sort of regulator in her body, you should tell your mother and have her take you to a doctor.

Generally I would be a little worried by now. I would make an appt to see your Dr as having your period for 14 days is not normal. Possible miscarriage hun, I hope you are better in health soon. Goodluck

depending on how long you've been getting your period for, your body may just still be adjusting, if your periods are normally pretty regular and spot on i think you should go and see a doctor. i know its a scary thought but they're there to help. also there are places such as MARIE STOPES that amongst other things, administer pap smears if you'd rather something more selcuded!

If it's really been 2 weeks, and that's not normal for you, then you should call you doctor or nurse. It might be nothing, but any big change like that should at least be checked out.
