The contaceptive "rod" is a good option for most women as it lasts for 3 yrs. There are side effects with everything,as u probably know. I know someone on this who bleed continuously for 3 months and had to get it removed, then others have no drama.

There is the IUD which is inserted and lasts for a while but I dont know much about that one.

There is something called a diaphram which you insert... not to familar with it tho

I recommend trying the rod, as if you have side effects (rare)it can be removed and all goes back to normal straight away.

Please remember that only condoms provide some protection against stds, so if your not in a serious long term relationship u may want to keep with them.

The natural method is not effective as an only means of birth control. You can try the depo shot (although that may make you sick), an IUD, a BC rod, the patch, or the nuvaring. Since none of these methods are 100% effective against pregnancy, it is also a good idea to use additional forms of BC, like condoms.

I used to use the contraceptive sponge. I know they took it off the market at one time, but I think it's now available. Anyway, there are many different kinds and dosages of birth control pills. Plus, taking them right before you go to bed (not on an totally empty stomach) might help with the nausea. If you have tried several different kinds with no luck, I understand. But if you haven't, you might want to work with your doctor to find another brand you might could take.

well there are natural methods as you know....that's following your ovulation cycle.......7 days prior to menstruation and 7 days after menstruation are perfectly safe for having sex. if you aren't interested in abstaining for so long then the best method naturally is the "woman on top position", coz gravity helps to some extent in avoiding the semen from travelling up to high. but if you aren't sure, then the best is to ask your man to ejaculate outside....well that wud require a lot of concentration on behalf of your man to know the exact time to retract from you. best of luck.
