1st of all get copy right for those designs. Then approach companies or start custom designing cars for people who want their cars to look distinct.

Hi. there is one thing to design cars and another thing to actually manufacture them.

first off, as every one is saying, copyright them.

Now. Do you have any qualification which will help you if you approach car companies with design proposals? If no, then it is highly likely that not one company will listen to you. But if you do, then congrats and go ahead. Just go to any company and see what their reaction is.

In the meantime, if you want further advise on designing, go to websites like www.cardesignnews.com or www.carspyshots.net

In the second web address there is a mini link to a car designing forum where you can post your designs and get comments.

Enjoy designing and hope your cars are awesome!! best of luck..

Yeah... these guys are right... First and foremost copyright them to make sure they're really yours for good. Most companies organize some contests when they're looking for new blood so you might want to keep an eye out for those. I know for sure that Peugeot holds such a contest each year and the winner gets to see his car manufactured as a prototype and exhibited at some major car shows. It's finished for this year, but try for the next. A couple of years ago, even Ferrari held such a contest, so never rule out any company. Check all car manufacturers websites regularly, make sure you sign up for any newsletters and see if your chance comes along. Best of luck!

That is a hard question to answer, Because the car companies usually don't say their cars were designed by another company, even though it happens. The Volkswagen beetle was designed by Ferdinand porsche, and the air cooled volkswagens made afterward are clearly derivitive of the beetle. The new breed of VW , Dasher, Rabbit etc. were copies of Audis, but was audi designed by Porsche? I think it may have been.

When I was a kid, GM ran an annual contest called the "Fisher Body Guild", where they would invite young folks to submit designs. It was a great way to break into automotive design. Like many things, it went by the wayside many years ago. But you may like to buy the book to see how it was done. It may give you some ideas about how to present your designs.

Dude get a copyright or a patent if it has got new technology before u even give it out. And then think about giving it to manufacturers. And after u file for a patent if any Tom, D*** or Harry comes up withthe same idea just file for Copyright or Patent breach and then u could become a quick millionaire.

Well if I were you, I'd show my deisgns to a car manufacturer. and if your deisgns get rejected just try try again. ask them what was wrong with your designs and work on them again. Don't give up! Hope I helped!!
