There are actually three ways to express an average. The most common method, called the "mean" or "mean value", is calculated by adding the prices of all the cars and dividing by the total number of cars.
The second kind of average is the "median". This is the price of the middle-valued car. Suppose you have a list of 19 cars, from the cheapest to the most expensive. Car #10 would have nine cars that are more expensive and nine cars that are cheaper; the value of Car #10 would be the median value.
Finally there is "mode", which is the most common price. Suppose all of the cars on your list had different prices, but three of them cost $234,567. Since more cars cost $234,567 than any other price, $234,567 is the mode price.

We need to know the number of cars in each group. Then we multiply the price by the number of \cars, add all the prices and then divide by the total number of cars. So, the data is incomplete.
