i have had to defer the college course that i have just finished due to expense. i am looking for a job and would love some help and advice on my options. i hope to go back to finish my degree in furniture making in september but if i can gain some hands on experience with a company in the mean time that would be the best possible scenario. not sure if this is the best way to find help with this type of matter but i need to start from somewhere. cheers

I think most wood furniture these days is made on mass in a factory. Where you just feed the wood in one end and it comes out the other shaped, then you just glue it together. You do still get the little work shops and carpenters shops, but I doubt that they take many on anew. Good luck anyway.

I need some new kitchens cabinets built, but I only wanted hand made and I can't find anyone willing to do it in this area. I can't be the only person who wants hand made furniture. Advertise in your local shops or job centres.

Go to the information booth at Home Depot, they teach courses and should have a pretty knowledgable base of what type of jobs are offered and where to find them. They are very helpful.

go to carpentry school dummy. dont sit there and tell me u had to defer a college course because of money. walmart and mcdonalds ALWAYS need ppl. the other thing is too, if you were smart enough, you'd be able to get scholarships. obviously, ur not, or u would have thought about that yourself.
