That term is derogatory and would NOT even be considered at all.

A 'wet-back' is a term of abuse for an illegal alien from Mexico (or points south). It originated from the fact that illegal migrant workers actually swam across the Rio Grande to come to the USA to work.

Theoretically an illegal immigrant from Mexico who arrived here by plane could still be referred to as a 'wet-back.'

no, but i like the way you think. What is a name? its just someone pouting a label on you and you should know what you are. I am a good guy but who would put a label on me? certainly not my wife as she thinks i am a jerk. It is all in the concept.
Say I win the lottery and give my wife all the money..then soon I drop over dead..then I would be considered a Saint and the salt of the earth! Call your self not this stupid label as you are just not lucky to be born in the right country..and that is not your fault as neither was my grand parents and they had 12 children and started a dynasty..be there or be square..peace be with thee

Oh, yes; you can't escape the rude remarks on a technicality; hardly anyone actually swims the Rio Grande, you know. They just get on a bus or drive a car, just like ordinary folks. Most do it not by sneaking through a fence at night, but by purchasing fake (or stolen) ID, or so I've heard.

Well technically a "*******" is a term used to describe any illegal alien that came into this country by crossing the rio grande river in TX or by swimming in the Carribean to get here.

If you make it through customs, you'll be a LEGAL non-resident.

Smile when they call you names because it don't mean a damn thing except that they're immature rock-heads. Come over and have dinner with me.

If you come illegally, come over and I'll have the sherrif waiting to take you home.
