The fact it was very faint was probably because the test didnt have enough fluid on the applicator. The instructions will say how long to hold the stick in the flow of urine for. If you dont hold it for long enough or miss the flow the test stick cannot collect enough fluid for a result. Try testing again on the day or after of your missed period (incase alternatively you are testing too early). It may be a negative result but it is best to test again for accuracy.

The negative line should always come up strongly and quickly. If there was a problem with the negative line, I'd say there is a problem with that test and you should test again. If the negative line wasn't working then there isn't much chance of the positive line working!!

I would do another test and see what the results come up as, if you still aren't sure just go to the doctors for a blood test.

I would wait a week then do another test or go to your doctors and have a test done there. The best time to do a test is when your over a week late.
Good Luck!

Just on a side note aren't you supposed to do these first thing in the morning, ie when your hormones are most abundant!
This could have resulted in a degraded test.
Buy another test and retake it in the morning first thing.

Call your local Family Planning Office and they can direct you to a hospital or another agency that can do an inexpensive blood test! These are much more accurate! Good luck!

You may have bought a faulty test. That happens from time to time. Wait a day or two, buy a new test (name brands really are best) and re-test.
Good luck!
