Yes, I have noticed. I have also noticed that if they do wash the tray, they only wipe off the top of the tray, place a piece of paper on it, and stack it on top of a tray that they already wiped down, and then eventually put your food on the piece of paper. After a person eats, usually the piece of paper is thrown away, but ketchup, grease, etc has soaked through the paper to the tray, then someone else comes along and stacks their dirty tray on top of that one, so the bottom of the second tray is dirty, doesn't get cleaned, and then is placed on top of a "clean tray" after the top has been wiped off. (Hence the dirt transfers back to the top of the clean tray which your food is placed on.) That's why I always so to go even if I'm eating in.

I'm fairly sure that wiping the floor with a cloth and then wiping the counter and trays with the same cloth would be enough to get the branch closed down by the health inspectors. Perhaps you should report it.

I wouldn't eat from McDonalds. There is a story about a women who bought a McNuggets meal from a McDonalds in Belfast a few years back and ended up with oral herpes. Someone else got electrocuted by the hand drier and killed at the same McDonalds restaurant. That place was then made to close. McDonalds seem to only employ teenagers who seem to be thick as two planks and always get your order wrong anyway. My advice is, dont eat at McDonalds

So you know, the store employees will probably get the tray out of the bin, then wash it with that nasty rag and serve someone else's food on it. Your idea would do no good. It's a good idea, but it would do no good to try it.

The answer is simple. Don't eat there. Just imagine what happens to the food before it gets to the tray! Who knows what the parts of the kitchen you can't see are like!

Next time take a picnic and a thermos - it's cheaper and safer! Last time I got ripped off with ghastly food and inflated prices at a motorway service station restaurant, I vowed NEVER to use them again.

You should have reported it to the manager on duty!
H&S would have a field day with this one - so many people in this country have fallen ill after eating McD's and they have paid out a lot of money in compensation.

It's true, but all these years no one beacame illed because of that. There's no report.
Still, I want to advice everyone to fill up their COMMENTS AND SUGGESTION forms and discuss this topic.
They should know this. Don't just boycot this restaurant.
Everything can be straightened up by good communications.
Thanks.
