What did they mean when they said,'will you make a decent woman of her'?

Aren't girls decent.

generally they refer to will you marry as sex outside of marriage isnt considered ...decent.

Didn't you notice, they said, 'will you make a decent WOMAN of her'. So it means that girls are decent and women have to be made decent... just joking :-)

Some are and some are not. I guess,... will you make a decent woman of her... by being a decent man to her.

when a girl got pregnant out of wedlock it means the male should marry the girl and accept the responsibility
