It's not diarrectic (or however it's spelt)...

I don't think it's anything to be too concerned about. I, too, suffer from a nervous stomach that causes this problem. Also, if i've eaten anything with a high fat content it happens. If you are worried about it, see a doctor. :O)

It's not crude - it's common sense to look after your body. You should be concerned if (i) there's any blood - and yes, it's OK to look, (ii) you get severe cramping pains, (iii) you have to make a dash for the loo each time, (iv) you also feel nauseous, and/or (v) your stools are *always* loose. But if you can draw a clear line between cause and effect, and you pass more normal and firm stools than you do the hasty and loose ones, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

By the way, to back up my statement that your level of interest is healthy - most loos in Germany have a little shelf about half-way down so that the person delivering them can inspect them as a matter of course. That *may* be taking things a little far ...

This is not an uncommon event for some people. You have what is known as colonic hyper motility. That means that when you get excited or upset you bowel goes into a rapid spasm and causes the waste to be propelled downward at a faster rate than normal. In doing so there is less resorption of the fluids from the waste and thus you have loose stools.
There are some medications you can acquire to help you to control this. Too much of the loose stools can have the effects of dehydration and electrolyte imbalance ( loss of essential salts and other chemicals to sustain life).
Contact your physician and discuss the matter with him./her and get some medication to help you overcome this situation.

Yes it can cause concern. A loos stool can lead to hemorroids from straing too much. Doctors reccomend getting more fiber or using fibercon or ditrucell which really work better.

sounds like IBS...if it's very frequent you should probably go to the doctor cuz you're not absorbing things properly and are losing water and nutrients. this sounds very minor though and i get it often enough. actually they'll probably tell you to lay off the tea and coffee.
