I am a huge fan of Zelda, so I have always wondered this. Ganon originally looked like a pig, and on OoT, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess, he looks human. So my question is in what order are the games, I know Oot came first and then Majoras Mask, then Wind Waker, but what about A Link To The Past and the original NES ones he is totally in pig form?

Also too back then, he had no human form. I remember the TV episodes and he was a pig-like Human, but now he is just a guy..

On a related note, I know he turns into a boar in Twilight Princess, but he returns to human form..... I just don't get it.

There are huge disputes over the zelda timeline. the only thing that does hold true is that the original game came first, followed by Zelda 2, the adventure of link, and then Link's awakening. It's after this that the storyline gets confusing. Ganon returns in A Link to the past and the Master sword is introduced. The minish cap seems to follow in this timeline so I'd reckon that it occurs last in this storyline

After this, a new storyline seems to develop. The second storyline starts with Ocarina of time, leads into Majora's mask and then leads into Wind Waker. In this storyline, Ganon is now Ganondorf, a demon thief who claims the power of the gods, though he doesn't appear in Majora's mask.

It would appear that Four swords (GC) follows this timeline as well, since Ganon is referred to as Ganondorf. But at the same time, it crosses with the other timeline by bringing in the four sword and Vatti. For this reason, I would put Four swords in a seperate storyline.

I would also put Twilight princess in a seperate storyline, since there is no reference to the Ocarina of time timeline, despite the presence of Ganondorf and the temple of time (It's almost identicle to OOT's temple of time)

People could go into long intellectual disputes about the Zelda timeline. What I have stated above is only my opinion on the storyline(s). You may think it's different. The bottom line though is that I believe Ganon and Ganondorf are different entities.

I have always wondered this myself. I'm also a huge Zelda fan. I have spent hours trying to figure out some of the Zelda mysteries. Maybe his human is his true form, but can transform into a pig just like Link can transform into a wolf in Twilight Princess. Just a theory.

you have to remember that ganon was revive many times, it could be possible that after a few times he was brought back as a human instead of a pig. also everyone has a altered form which was shown in A Link to the Past, Ganon has nothing but evil and greed in his heart, so his alter form is a pig.
