Paypal payments are instant if they are paid with paypal balance, paypal credit, or credit card. If they paid with echeck, it will take days before it gets cleared. If it gets cleared, it should show you received payment instead of pending.

It should be instant, however it's always a wise idea to check your account balance through your bank beforehand, I don't know what bank you use, but most have a number to call to get your balance instantly, takes about a whole minute on an automated system. Better to be safe than sorry if you plan on a spree and run it close enough you need to question.

The money is in your E-Bay/PayPaL account immediately it is sent (less fees) you can then transfer it immediately to your nominated Bank Account (Under £50 amounts attract a fee). However it can take up to 9 working days to reach your nominated Bank Account from making the transfer request!!!

PayPal transaction is instant. If the buyer paying through PayPal using their credit card, then their credit card will clear in 3 days.
I wouldn't worry about the clearing period.
