Pregnancy is a matter of chance, it doesn't always happen even if you follow all the best advice. The time required to get pregnant varies greatly between different couples. Having said that,.we've outlined some steps which could help you along the way.
Your Health

We've discussed how your health influences your chances of conceiving in Your Health...
Timing
It is improtant to have sex at the right time, and the right time is just before ovulation. If you have a regular 28-day cycle, you can therefore predict that ovulation is likely to occur , on around Day 14. If your cycle length varies a great deal, it is hard to calculate the mid point. However ovulation can be detected in other ways.
- Temperature
After ovulation, a woman’s 'rest' body temperature rises by around 0.2°C, and keeps at this level until menstruation begins. To notice this rise, you need to take your temperature every morning and record it.
If you discover a pattern, you should have sex just before your temperature is due to rise. This should be your most fertile time.
- Predictor Kits
Ovulation kits measure the level of hormones in the body and help work out the best time to conceive.
- More sex
The more often you have sex (around the right time), the more likely you are of having sex while you are fertile and conceiving.
Male contribution
The best temperature for sperm production is 2-3°C below the temperature of the rest of the body. Wearing tight pants or trousers, can raise the temperature of the testes and lower sperm production.

Good Luck!

I recommend the answer given by Spottie and wish to add the following:
Find the number of days between one menstrual period to the other. Take the values of the past three months. Eg. 28+30+32=90. Find the average ie. 90/3= 30. According to this example, your periods occur once in 30 days, on the average. Divide it by 2. ie. 30/2=15. It is the half way date of your menstrual cycle. Count 15 days forward, from your next starting date of mensus. Supposing it falls on 27th February. Count 2 days backwords. That is 25th Feb.
Have sex with your partner on 25th, 26th , 27th , 28th and 29th. Take your time. Be prepared. spend more time for making love. See that he is on top, during and, a few minutes after ejectulation take place.Go to sleep or be on the bed for some time.
This should work. good luck.
The theory behind is that, a woman's eggs are most active and fertile for one week at the middle of two menstrual periods. If your partner's sperms enter the body during this period, the chances of your getting conceived are very high, provided that both of you are biologically fertile.
Of course, these calculations are not necessary if you can have sex throughout the month. But, I do not know how practicable it is.

Have sexual intercouse with the healthy, good looking, very considerate and loving husband/boyfriend, with full agreement that both of you are not only doing it for joy and pleasure but also in order to have a baby.

As far as the position is concerned, and if that is the centre of your question, then the missionary position is the best. Remain in that position after the ejaculation of your hubby/boyfriend for few minitues to let the sperm swim into the womb. Do it when your eggs are fertile and ready to get pregnant.

Good luck!

All the best!

I've heard and tried it that having sex with your bum raised up i.e. under a pillow with him on top is a great way to get pregnant. You have to stay in the position for 15 minutes after he's come, so the sperm has time to get deep into your womb without getting squirted out when you get up. AS for the time of the month, be on the safe side and do it every night! it worked for me first time!

Good Luck.
