How can I tell if my computer is being used as a server to run spam? Are there files on my computer? is it being accessed remotely?

In Windows XP try this ... press CTRL-ALT-DEL then list the processes by CPU ...

You may identify a spam process.

Get a virus/spam program like AVG.

You can download a program called Ad-Aware or several other programs from spychecker.com. Have them scan your computer and it will tell you if any of those programs are running.

Download/Buy spy detection software and search your system...

U can also download yahoo toolbar and use Yahoo Anti-Spy feature to detect....
