It bothers me to think that our kids can no longer play tag in the playground but instead are allowed to sit around reading magazines and playing PSPs, it also upsets me that if my child falls over and needs a friendly hug from the teacher she may not get one... has the country gone crazy? Are we too scared? I don't want my child to grow up to be scared to say what they think and feel for fear of upsetting someone... I want my child to grow up to feel safe and happy.... does anyone see what I'm getting at? How do you all feel? Who sets these rules of society?

i share your feelings.
i would call it appeasment.if you do not upset anybody then there will be less friction in theory.
what anoys me is that litter is thrown on the ground and no penalties are imposed.
government must change the way they look at this.
disipline should start at home and carry on in the classroom.

Another example of PC gone mad.It all probably stems from the American.."I'll sue you" culture.
A burglar breaks into your house, slips on a bar of soap and hurts himself..diddums..he will try to sue you!!
Someone ate a do-nut and burned their mouth on the jam..they sued..successfully.Result.."warning..this product gets hot when you heat it " warnings.
Daisy chains and conkers are banned on health and safety reasons as are competitive sports in case the losers are traumatised...get over it..life is competitive.
If all of the non-PC crowd got together and said 'that's enough..no more".We might get somewhere.
Can anyone remember such nonsense under a Conservative government??..of course not..it came in during this lefty Labour lot's terms.Let's vote them out when we have the chance..there is no point moaning if they get in next time.

The rules are set by a bunch of Whitehall corpses that set out what is POLITICALLY CORRECT - having no knowledge of life in general makes them Tony Blairs eyes and ears and they are allowed to make these rulings on the basis that they think it is right - the other problem is the EURO nonces that now have control of our country thanks to Tony Blair and Company selling the British people down the river and allowing our sovereignty to be controlled by some Brussles butt wipe!

Sign of the times.

We need to at least try to fight it.

I would barr all the PSP's from schools too. Maybe even mobile phones too.

It seems to attract crime, and I believe it is a negative influence on typical interaction amongst the children too.

Decay, demoralisation, decline, and ultimately demise. Get out while you still can.
