The anime I grew up with is totally different, yet the same as the anime of today. Anyway my faves were Robotech and Star Blazers. Great stuff when I was a kid.

Death Note, hands down. Another good one (though old) is Ginga Nagareboshi Gin (aka Silver Fang or Hopeanuoli). Out of the ones you listed, I guess Naruto would be my favorite.
