i have a pda and would like to be able transfer videos from my desktop to the pda via activesync

If using Firefox get the video downloader extension. Then while viewing the video click on the video downloader icon and it will save to wherever you select.

You need to find what is known as a 'StreamRipper' - I tried one called TubeSucker which worked BUT the downloaded file will not work in Media Player - it will only work with WinAmp (I think that's what it is called) - it may need re-encoding to play in Media Player bit I haven't had time to find a convertor programme for this!

The one sensi is talking about is a FireFox extension, so you'll need FireFox to use it.
I highly recommend http://www.vixy.net , it will convert the video to a format you select and then give you a download link, it's very useful and pretty quick, too.

"Downthisvideo" site allowsyou to download videos from YouTube, GoogleVideo, Metacafe, DailyMotion, etc
All you have to do is to copy the link of the video page and paste it in the address bar within the site and click download.
