Chinese or English in Taiwan ?

Question

I have a multilingual website, for Taiwanese I choosed to push Simplified Chinese.

Some people thinks I should change it to english. Some others are telling me that the Chinese is just fine.

Who's right ? Who's wrong ? What should I do ?

For a website or any advertising in Taiwan, one should use Traditional Chinese characters.

Today traditional characters are used in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and by some overseas Chinese communities, especially those originating from the aforementioned regions/countries or who emigrated before the widespread adoption of simplified characters in the People's Republic of China. In contrast, simplified characters are used in mainland China, Singapore (in official publications, though many names are still written in traditional characters), and in some overseas Chinese communities; especially those from aforementioned countries who emigrated after the widespread adoption of simplified Chinese characters. Debate over Traditional and Simplified Chinese is long-running among Chinese communities.

The World Wide Web Consortium recommends the use of the zh-Hant language attribute value and Content-Language value to specify web pages contents in Traditional Chinese.

Traditional Chinese for Taiwanese audience for sure.

If you're running a multilingual website, you must have English anyways, because it's the widest used language. However,
for Taiwanese people - traditional Chinese is still the widely used instead of English.

If you are planning to reach a wider Taiwanese audience to visit your website then you should use Traditional Chinese as Simplified Chinese is not used here and English is more of a second language in the ROC (Taiwan)

Oohh! Switch to traditional Chinese. If it's specifically for the Taiwanese, use Chinese, Otherwise I suggest give it an option where the reader can switch from Chinese to English and back.

You can use Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese, but not English. Traditional Chinese is widely used in Taiwan and Hong Kong. But more and more people in Taiwan and Hong Kong start to use simplified Chinese.

For Taiwan, you should use Traditional Chinese, not Simplified. Simplified Chinese is for China and Singapore. Traditional Chinese (unaltered, original, best writing system) is used in Taiwan.

First, you must use Traditional Chinese, as that is what Taiwanese use. I would just make a mirror site in English so that you can reach everyone.
