When I was a kid, I would spend the night at my great grandma's. She lived out in the country and was very quaint. However, the dolls she collected, she hung on the wall by their necks!!!!! One was that doll that had a tear drop on her face. I figured it was because she was choking! I would have to sleep in the room where the dolls hung after she told me scary stories of haints, etc. Demon/doll collecting was ruined for me. LOL!!!

First, I always knew that dolls were just toys and lifeless objects created by hand or machines.. Never did any toy scare me. Their eyes are plastic or painted on. Therefore, sight is impossible for them. Doll collecting is done by children and adults. Men and women enjoy this hobby. Some do it only as a financial investment. Others do it for decorating purposes. Some see it as a way of reconnecting with their childhood memories. Others see it as a way to connect with other collectors for dating or friendship. Who has never seen or owned one that you have met? The name "doll" is heard or read in literature, magazines, newspapers, music, movies, on tv, cable,.satilite, radio, and so on, Look how many questions or answers mention doll or dolls. There are thousands of internet images devoted to this subject. Why would there not be collectors?

I think it depends on the doll. Most dolls, I think are TERRIFYING. I can't stand dolls in my room or in the room I'm sleeping in after dark. Especially if the lights are off, or I am alone. I do collect Barbies, though, so I'm not scared of them. It's really the porcelain ones (not the baby porcelain dolls, those are cute) that creep me out. Good question.

I can't believe you were more worried about your bra and the porcelain than the fact that your son was trying to breastfeed a doll. I really hope you're trolling; otherwise there's no hope for your son.

personally I find doll collections a little creeeeepy - i mean its fine when you're a kiddo, but I'm talking about adult doll collectors: you know those adult women (or men...) who collect dolls that look at you from inside their glass cabinets.. eeywu.
