#1
1 + 2/3 = 3/3 + 2/3 = 5/3
2 + 1/2 = 4/2 + 1/2 = 5/2

When you divide by a fraction, that's the same as multiplying by the reciprocal, so:

(5/3) * (2/5) = (5*2)/(3*5) = 10/15 = 2/3

#2
5/x^10 divided by 30/x^5
becomes

(5/x^10) * (x^5/30)
= (5x^5)/(30x^10) = 1/(6x^5)

1+(2/3)/ 2+(1/2) you must see that the numerator =5/3 and the denominator 5/2 so you have (5/3)/(5/2) = 2/3

2) 5 over x^10 = 5 x^(-10) and so 30 over x^5 = 30 x^(-5)

you are left with 5 x^(-10) /30 x^(-5)

5/30 = 1/6 and x^(-10) / x^(-5) = x^(-5)

so the result is (1/6) x^(-5)

1.
First change to fractions:1+2/3 = 5/3 and 2+1/2 = 5/2.
Then convert to lowest common denominator:
(10/6) / (15/6) and multiply by 6/6 (which equals 1)
Result is 10/15 = 2/3.

2.
5 / x^10 = 5 * x^-10 and 30 / x^5 = 30 * x^-5
5/30 * x^(-10+5) = 1/6 * 10^-5 = 1.67 * 10^-6

wow...nice simple fraction work. I like. Anyway first couple are:
5/3 (it's just top heavy)
and 5/2
Ok, didn't read first question right...
5/3 / 5/2 = 2/3
Second question I got an answer of 1/6x^5 (but I could be wrong).
