The best thing is to talk to ur parents and shift her school or college to some place else and let her live with any of the family like uncle, aunt etc,. Your basic idea should be right now to restrict communication between them both and do not under any circumstance allow her to meet him .
Next step , after you move her out go and talk to that 69 old bugger to stay away from her life and ur sister deserves better...
Don't worry about the mental trauma about ur sister, she will recover eventually, she is just too young right now to realize things in life, so now you are in control to save her life, since your parents are with you , you have no problem...
Act fast before its too late.. i am sure it will work if u act fast..

She's 17, you lock her up in a dark room until she's 18 and then you deal with the problem.
Maybe ask her why she's doing it and if she gets defensive just say that you really do want to be happy for her (whether it's the truth or not) so you would like to understand her feelings more and be sure that she will be happy. If she actually loves him then there's not much you can do but if there's another reason then maybe you can give alternatives.

What can it heart the old guy probably cant get it up but then and again there is Viagra . Oh well so she gets an old prick in her the benefits are worth it. If you're in the USA your parents can refuse to give permission 'cos she's under 18, and if in the UK you are allowed to get married at 16 but if under 18 parental consent has to be given. But there is no stopping her if over 18. Just a note to add is it worth mentioning to her that he is perverted wanting to marry a girl that young? I know you have probably mentioned that already but she may not have thought of him in those terms. If she goes ahead with it just be there for her when it all goes down the pan.

Oooch!!! sorry yet i think of you're being stupid come on the fact that she has lost her strategies would not take her admire from her afterall she is your larger or older sister and desires your encuoragement and help to return to typical yet to no longer throw your waste on her like as you're doing top now. you're able to confer along with her, stand for her while others are mersing arround and enable her understand which you extremely cares approximately her. and that i think of if all persons are doing the comparable then no longer as single of minded affected person will proceed to be.

He indeed is a dirty old man, but there's nothing you can do about this one except stop telling her she's crazy. Don't say anything else to her about it. Have you ever tried to see what type of personality she has as far as wanting material things, wanting attention or needing a father in her life. I mean, she could be doing this in hopes to get money if and when he dies. In reality, they could live longer than she will. She could enjoy all of the attention and if all of you stop yelling, talking and trying to reason with her, she will soon drop the notion of marring grandpa. Why haven't your mother went to the police about him dating this minor?

I really hope in 45 years someone is writing in here asking for advice because I am marrying his little sister!
Seriously though, I think your sister may need some help, was she not close with your Dad/Granddad? Could it be a reaction to not having a figure like this present in her life? It's possible that she may look to this old sicko for some reassurance she has been missing...

How did they meet ? She is delighting in the the furore and attention she has created for herself in this shocking situation. Explain how this decision will change her life, the age difference is a vast amount ,52 years to be precise, old enough to be her Grandfather in fact. Does she want children ? Is she mature in her outlook ? Does he like modern music? she will be restricted in her young social life Is he financially secure, is she looking for a Father figure ? If she is rebellious, do not oppose her decisions, because it will only strengthen her resolve. Her Ideas are undeveloped.

all you can do is let her live her own life she has to make her own mistakes to learn lessons in life just try gives her advice but i really doubt it would do any good. But I agree with you a 17 year old and a 69 year old should not get married he could be her grandfather two times. good luck

Remind her what happens when ppl get old!
Not just babies that wear nappies!!
Make a point of showing you disapproval by not attending the wedding! And tell her in advance of that fact!
Let her know that you love her and will alsways be there for HER (not fella) but you can't condone it and won't attend!!
