you'd be surprised how rapidly you are able to study a Vonnegut e book. I advise Breakfast of Champions. Very representative of Vonnegut, imo. i'd say that basically having an open suggestions will be lots interesting to the guy you want -- both authors you suggested are favourite yet they did not write fluff. Their books contain dissimilar political metaphors and social remark. If he likes Vonnegut and Thompson, I guess he will be searching for someone with some intensity.
