Almost 7 years now, he still drives past my house regularly (I don't live en route to anywhere), Christmas day he turned up at the 3 places I was visiting (stayed in his car), on my birthday he was in the car park as I came out from having dinner.

Anyone else have this problem and what did you personnaly do about it. Laws don't help.

Sorry Sherina, no I definitely don't see it as love. When we were together he was never around - so why now!

And I cannot stand the guy, so no I haven't had sex with him since the split.

I will keep a diary though and keep being persistant - thanks for your support..

Keep a diary -
Report him regularly - even if they don't take it serious to start with - you need to build a profile of him.
If possible take picture or call a friend to say Hey He Is Here Again. Bring it to the attention of others.
Note his Reg Plate.
If the Police won't take you serious get a lawyer.
If you can afford it have a private dick to help you. Catching him in the act.

How does he know where you will be? Is he tapping you fone - mobile or internet.?
HE COULD BE DANGEROUS AND YOU SHOULD TREAT HIM SO - EXPRESS YOUR CONCERNS WITH THE POLICE AND DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER - be a total pain in the *** with the police till they take you seriously.

If you can move, I would. If you job could give you a transfer, do that as well. Get a lawyer and file a restraining order and everytime he appears where you are, call the police. He needs to get the message that IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is creepy. You should call a help line with the city hall and ask them what the procedures are if you don't have the money for a lawyer or some other special group. You need to put some distance between this man and yourself. He is affecting your life whether you know it or not. I'm sure you are always looking over your shoulder. Is that any way to live?

Jealous I would say! I know my issue wasn't as extreme but my ex lived in California while I was in Wyoming. He wasn't there for me as I was there for him emotionally when people close to us passed away....so I broke up with the guy. (other reasons too)
Now that I am married and happy he is always wanting to talk on-line and asking if I am happy. Just the other day I found out I was one big turn on for him and his biggest regret was getting it on with me. How gross! I told him right then and there how I felt about him...I truly regretted anything I ever did with him, and that I felt so uncomfortable with him. He was in shock and now hasn't tried talking to me since.
Is there any way you could secretly move to another part of town or something! There has to be a way....it sounds creepy to me...and I would be on the look out ...make sure some walks with you to your car. Park in lighted parking lots, change the locks to your house. Who knows he probably has a key or something weird. Other wise all I can say is he is jealous and wants you to want him first so he don't feel stupid. You never know how far he could take it though.

He's stalking you!!! You CAN get a restaining order on him or an injunction. If he breaks these you call the police straight away!

Collect proof to give as evidence in the court. Even photos of his car etc in every place you visit. Get the people you are visiting to write witness statement saying that he was there providing times for him comimg and going.

Phone the local police station everytime he's near you. get them to log it. and get crime reference numbers, you can use these later. It will all add up.

Come on end it now! 6 years is long enough!

Good Luck!!!

I want you to listen to me you need to pray about this situation. I mean that is really kind of scary..I would seriously pray about this situation....My sister had this same problem...she lives in an area and this man even walked up to her and was asking her stuff...I mean he would do all sorts of things...She prayed about the situation and the man left.....I wouldn't entertain him or anything. I would also try to change up what I would do.....I would take some guys over to my house.....Or have someone escort you home to make sure you are in there safe and sound. I would also notify the landlord if you live in an apartment.....And others around....You will be surprised at how some people do things....Take it seriously....

I am afraid for you. I watch America's Most Wanted and the Cops shows all the time and there have been alot of stories like yours. They don't turn out well. You are foolish if you do not involve the police whenever he follows you. I am so sorry this is happening to you. Good luck and God Bless you.

Can only sympathise, never been in that position, thankfully. Keep doing what you are doing and perhaps enquire about having an injuction put in place. May help you feel a little more secure! Good Luck

I had an ex that stalked me, he even followed me to my brother's house and waited out in the garden for hours while I was house sitting for him. Eventually I had to involve the police, Laws DO help, you just have to be consistent and keep complaining and keep reporting him if he breaks the restraining order, if he keeps doing that then he will end up in prison. show them you are serious, complain every day if you have to.

restraining order would be good but from personal experience not worth the paper they are written on and he person in breach of the order has to be caught red handed to be in any trouble! Joke really.
Get yourself a new man, a big one lol or a mean dog which is also good.

I had a similar problem. My brother 'had a word'
with him and he never bothered me again.

We do have laws now on stalking - so put everything
down in a diary. Good Luck.
