Starman (DC) VS. Starfox (Marvel)?

Who would win and why?

You’re talking Will Payton, the most recent Starman, not the original (Ted Knight) or any of the other versions that were supposed to have come in between? (Mikaal Tomas, Prince Gavyn, or Ted Knight’s son.) Though it was later revealed that Prince Gavyn merged with Will Payton.

In any event, Starfox’s emotion-manipulating powers would be of no use. Starman is essentially a living fusion reactor with human memories. Starfox’s power is predicated upon his victims possessing human nervous systems and sensory capability.

They can both fly and have super strength.

What will make the difference, I believe, is Starman’s energy (heat) emitting power, which Starfox does not have. I don’t think that Starfox has any defense against it. If they were fighting to the finish, I believe that Eros would flee, but will would chase him down and cook him.

To answer this question we need to know which Starman. Ted Knight of the 1940's or his son Jack Knight the current Starman.
Starman's powers are always more of a distance fighter. While Starfox in more of a hand to hand fighter. Currently starman's only weapon/power the comic rod or staff is the possession of Stargirl and its hard to believe that she would be able to win against Starfox.
Starfox could probably takeout any of the many men who have called themselves Starman or used Ted Knights tech but is not that popular a hero.

Starman is the more powerful, but Starfox is the more sexier. He would use his pheramones to get Starman in bed with him, as Starfox keeps busy that way. Gay or straight, its hard to resist Starfox. However Starfox often is the one with the poor fashion design of costume.
