value regulation already exists in some style in maximum international places- there are government bodies that oversee corporation practices, which contain pricing. For some issues that's ideal, for some issues that's no longer. The seize, of path, is that that's confusing for something like this to maintain in %. with changing economies, which influence fees. case in point, gas isn't loose to offer- it is going to be extracted, subtle, and processed. If the optimum value is set via regulation, and that's not sufficient to pay for the value of growing to be it, then issues can get confusing- the two the government has to maintain changing the charges (which in prepare often would not paintings), or it has to subsidise producers for each little thing (which expenditures a *lot* of money). and additionally, counting on basically how low the minimum salary is, it might nonetheless no longer be sufficient to pay for issues at regulation value. So this would desire to no longer be an alternate choice to a minimum salary; certainly, the two a minimum salary *and* ideal regulation to maintain fees in verify is needed. It oftentimes isn't had to alter the particular fees (even however in some situations that's). besides the undeniable fact that, that's often considerable for the government to maintain an eye fixed on fees to be sure they do no longer replace into unreasonable- between the main suitable techniques it does that's to maintain monopolies under administration, and determine some opposition maintains to be.

Minimum wage should go WAY up, but the Bushwhacker admin is too lazy to do anything about it. The min wage in the majority of states are $5.15/hour exclusive of health care benefits etc. Greedy politicians like the Bush admin should work for free for the rest of his life, then we'll be able to se the minimum wage to $20/hour. As far as max wage goes, I don't think it's a good idea coz it's detrimental to the country's economy but the Bush admin should be taxt 90% on their monthly wages. The taxated money from these morons could then go to the health care, housing and education funds that are so badly in need of funds.

I know you're well intentioned, but it just wouldn't work.
What would the maximum wage be? Would there be exceptions?
If it were low enough, without exceptions, it would be pure socialism. History has proven time and time again, socialism doesn't work.
If it were high enough, it would be useless.
If there were exceptions, it'd be very easy to circumvent. That's what rich people do, find loopholes.
Plus, the fund would be empty. Big, evil corporations would just stop paying ridiculous salaries to members of the board. (I assume your problem is with CEOs and the like, not doctors and lawyers.)
So, while I appreciate the sentiment, no, there should not be a maximum wage.

Suuurree go ahead and set a maximum wage. But, think about this for a moment:
A Professional, who has his/her maximum wage set to 100,000.00 a year finds he/she can make 500,000.00 a year in Japan/Brazil where do you think they will work?
Consider, You own a home and are selling it for 1,300,000 a person who wants to purchase it has a maximum wage of 100,000, could they not sue you [for fairness] to bring the price down? Or could you sell it.

Minimum wage: everything costs more to produce, more inflation occurs, the poor get poorer, the middle class get poorer, not even the rich get richer.
Maximum wage: drives costs down, since things cost less to make due to less money going to pay people to makes things, which adds up during each step. Less money to pay the person to (1) research the oil drilling technology, (2) make the oil drilling equipment, (3) drill for oil, (4) run the oil rig, (5) transport the oil, (6) refine the oil, (7) distribute the gasoline that was formerly oil to gas stations, (8) pay the cashier who works at the gas station.
That is just one example. Yes, maximum wage should occur, but the costs of everything being cut, instead of the extra money going to welfare, which gets taken advantage of a little too often at times. With everything cheaper, people can afford more and live better.
Most of the people who get paid a lot, anyways, don't even do anything (CEO's, for example) except rip off the workers (Airline pay cuts) just so they get more benefits (record setting bonuses in the billions)

Not in an economy based on capitalism. You need socialism and communism for that.

Sounds like Communism to me. Are the far left actually showing their true colors now? How interesting. Go read Marx. By the way, it doesn't work. Man is too corrupt. There will be a certain group that will attain power and the law won't apply to them. Not only that, you remove the incentive for people to do business. You need to go study economics and come back when you mature into a grown man, work and support yourself and watch your wages get robbed to pay for some shmuck that is too lazy to work for a living.

How very socialist of you...
That's how you take a country from being the most productive country in the world to the least productive. Socialism doesn't work in the long term. It makes people lazy and dependant.
