Why do u think some animals speices are treated differ then others?

Take dogs and cows.. If a dog is killed ppl will mourn his death.. ppl can go to jail if they kill a dog or a cat any kind of "pet" animal.. Lots of ppl are outraged becuz of horse meat.. then look at cows there is a 10 mile line at mcdonalds with tons of ppl wanting to eat them.. They are all animals.. but my conclusion on the matter is becuz we have specail relationships with "pet"animals such as dogs, horses, cats, so on and so forth.. "Mans best friend" "Faithful" and " Trustworthy" are things ppl say about "pet" animals but " 2 for 1 deal" at a fast food places on "others." Why do u think ppl tend to freak out over thier deathes but not of the deathes of the poor cows and chickens.. I know how they are butchered becuz my aunt is a rancher.. So I know alot on the matter..

Yeah,I know what you mean.People think other people in other countries that "allegedly" eat dogs are sick,but then they go and eat a 12 oz steak or pigs.Cows are sacred in India and pigs are sacred to many different religions.Most people think cows are dumb.A mother cow traveled six miles to find her baby after it was sold at an animal auction.A cow jumped a six foot fence to escape a slaughterhouse.Pigs are smarter than dogs and 3 year olds,yet the first thing that comes to people's mind's when they think of pig is "bacon".You shouldn't kill a dog,nor any other animal.Chickens are smart also!

Or in training, animal trainers for the entertainment industry know you have to use positive reinforcement to get exotic animals to work.

But they still use those old fashioned force based techniques on dogs, just because dogs will forgive you.

People don't care about animals that aren't "cute." There's hundreds of species being driven to extinction that are way under the radar because they're not adorable.
