Which energy based hero would win and why?

Captain Atom. While Captain Mar-Vell has the Quantum Bands, we must remember that he was also a Kree. Nothing too special. He has enchanced strength and attack but it wasnt until the Quantum Bands that he was able to accomplish everything thing he could.
Captain Atom, Nathaniel Adam, is pretty much a nuclear reactor. He is able to absorb nuclear energy as well as release it. He cannot be destroyed by energy so that is no away captain Mar-Vell can destroy him. Also, we all know, except Captain Mar-Vell, that he has cancer. When Captain Atom came back from the Wildstorm universe, he also accumulated a type of power that allows him to talk to computers. He can easily find out that captain Mar-Vell has cancer and use radation beams to increase the growth of those cancers, killing him on the spot.

Thats like comparing Scobby Doo to Shaggy. On earth Captain Mar-vel, In space Catain Atom. In a fight against a real superhero neither. Even Captain Carrot can take those bums out.

I would call upon the power of the atom. Both have stability of storyline issues though. One died and was brought back years later. The other seems to be bouncing around time and space a lot.
