I have used this for comparison before. Don't know Tom, but I like his site.

Stay away from AMD - never had luck with them.

I am currently building my own computer and I have been comparing all these processors. I think the E6400 is the best, however you can probably get the same performance overclocking the E6300. These are definitely better than the 4600+. However I don't know much about the 945 so I cant say for sure regarding that although I would imagine the difference between the 945 and E6300 will depend on what you use it for e.g. running programs in parrallel vs. gaming (945 is better for gaming).

the AMD is more superior from what you show. intel D's are average level processors. the core duo's are pretty good like the AMD. the only problem with it is the 64bit are still pretty new and not a whole lot of things out there yet for them. i'm an AMD guy but actually i would go with the E6400 here. hate ti turn the AMD down but i am .

Hmm, I have NEVER had a problem with AMD...like I have with Intel.

You will probably here it back and forth on this one.
