pregnant on period?

can i be pregnant even though i still get my period. im on the pill and i was also wondering how safe they really are

It is possible, though not likely since you are on the pill. The pill is not 100% effective though, so it is still possible to get pregnant. If you continue to take the pill, you will teminate the pregnancy. I say if your in doubt, go see you dr and talk to them, or at least buy a home pregnancy test. But if you are on the pill, that sometimes doesn't work since the pill can make your hormones be a little out of the oridinary.


As for the safety of the pill, it is safe, but there are risks. Most are fairly uncommon, or rare. Blood clots are a big possible side effect. But as long as you don't smoke, and are under 30, your chances of devloping one are pretty slim. If you want to know, look up the particular pill you are on, and see what the side effects are.

I got pregnant while on my period but miscarried at 5 weeks.
I really don't know about birth control pills cause i was always on the depo shot. (I didn't get pregnant on it though)
If you are pregnant and continue to take birth control pills it will most likely make you have a miscarriage.

Your period is a pretty clear sign that you are not pregnant. You should only be concerned if you only spot instead of having a period.

wel the pill in my opion can lead too stork, heart adtack and blood colts believe it or not it can kill your sex drive over time too so you keep puting that pill it is very high health risk if you ask me tell him to used a rubber orwait till you are on your safe days the pill is very un safe to your health

the possibility is not there i guess if u doubt u should conduct a pregnancy test if the period were lighter than usual
