So my mom wants to buy me a new computer but she wants to know how much room on the hard drive to get (GB I think?). I have a lot of mp3s, so what kind of hard drive do u suggest I get if I want to store 1000 mp3s on my computer? THANKS xoxo

To store 1000MP3s, you'll need about 5000MB or approximately, 5GBs. But its better to go for a larger hard-drive so that you can meet future requirements. The size of the disk is limted only by your budget (and maybe constraints on your motherbord) About 80GB should be enough to store MP3s, videos and other files for years to come and 160GB would be luxury (don't go beyond this as it'll just be a waste of good money... 160GB is large enough for almost all home users.).

For 1000 Mp3s, u only need 5GB hard disk. However, i think u better buy a bigger for future use. For example you should buy a hard disk space range of 80GB to 250GB. Trust me when u got that hard disk space, u will tend to store more things.

1000's mp3's believe it or not won't take up much room. but i'll tell you something-once you have more room you'll become an addict trying to fill up that space.

a 40 gig drive would be more than enough and it won't cost much money-around 50 bucks. but you can go out and get bigger drives for around 150 bucks.

Get 1000 Megabytes/1 Terrabyte or if you are filthy stinkin rich, get 1 Yugabyte. LOL!!!

Actually, 250 - 500 Megabytes is all you will ever need.
