We are off to Florida in may and are in two minds as to swim with the dolphins or not at Discovery Cove. Its quite expensive and dont want to spend all that money if its not worth it! Anyone who's been please let me know! Thanks.

It is an absolutely fabulous experience, I must also say that I am a bit of a dolphin nut. I collect them so to me it was truly a dream come true. My friend (not so much into dolphins) enjoyed herself immensely. It's your call really...I think it's totally worth it.I went swimming with dolphins in Cancun, Mexico about 6 years ago and it was quite expensive then so I can imagine the prices must have gone up. Give it a try though...they are beautiful, stunning creatures.

I did this last year with my wife and son - it is a great day out - don't forget - your booking includes meals and drinks - you are also picked up and driven to the centre from SeaWorld! The money you pay also includes a seven day pass to SeaWorld - and you will need a seven day pass! The night shows 'Shamu Rocks' are brilliant and you will want to see it two or three times!

The swim with the Dolphins is only about 30 - 40 mins BUT you get to cuddle them and tickle them and speak to them and give them instructions to perform tricks!

You can also then swim in the lagoons around the centre - with the Rays and other fish - it is well worth the money and is unforgetable! BUT it is what you make it - if you go with the attitude of 'oh, this is expensive' - you won't enjoy it!

I would willingly pay again to go

It may be expensive but it is so worth it! It is an experience that you will never forget & it is such a great opportunity that you shouldn't miss. I know this because it is my dream to swim with dolphins!

swimming with dolphins is the most AMAZING experience, I have not done it in Florida, only in Israel, In florida I do know that you get to interact and touch the dolphins, you even get a photo taken kissing one. If you have kids they will remember that for the rest of their lives. Do it, I promise you'll love it.

If it's your kind of thing, then it's worth it. The fact that you are asking, to me, it implies it's not type of thing that interests you so I wouldn't bother if it's expensive. Save your money and spend it on something else on your holiday.

Swimming in the winter?Forgive me I don't know American climate. I don't think you should swim with dolphins.I am saying that because I don't like swimming with other creatures .Remember the stingray story so be careful ,you may never know ,there will be always new from these creatures so please try to avoid swimming with them.
