Cow's milk is full of growth hormones, designed to turn a 50 pound calf into a 500 pound cow. Drinking milk delivers a tremendous amount of hormones into your body, and you will certainly pack on weight. It may not be height, but rather width that increases. If you are concerned about proper diet, eat a wide variety of food rich in green vegetables for calcium and you will be much better off.
Humans are the only animal that drinks milk past infancy, and then it's not even from the correct species! Too many people are still trying to defend milk's supposed health benefits. Unfortunately, they are either using old information or information obtained from research funded by the dairy association. How many people would enjoy a glass of dog's milk or rat's milk? What makes cows special?
There are only two reasons which I've found to support humans drinking cow's milk. We have grown up hearing that it's good for us and we've grown accustomed to the taste and texture. There is absolutely no nutrition that can not be obtained elsewhere, minus the negatives. Calcium seems to be the major claim for milk. It can be found elsewhere in green vegetables, almonds, and many other sources. Where do you think the cows obtain the calcium to put into the milk? Where do other larger animals (elephants, horses, deer, whales, etc) get calcium? Why we continue to drink cow's milk laced with growth hormones, antibiotics, and who knows what else is beyond me.
Since I've given up drinking milk about 5 years ago my health has greatly improved. I suffer fewer allergy problems, asthma and breathing problems are greatly reduced, I'm sleeping better, and I have more energy.
In the '50s smoking was considered harmless but now we realize its dangers. One person at a time and eventually the truth will become widely known that cow's milk is only for baby cows. Milk is indeed the perfect food, but only for infants of the proper species.
Do some research online and decide for yourself.

Drinking cow's milk will not help you grow or anything else. It is no better a source of calcium than a good diet of green vegetables. There are a lot of myths surrounding the drinking of milk. You want to bear in mind that cow's milk is intended for calves, not people. The majority of dairy cows are dosed up with all kinds of chemicals and antibiotics, and a huge number have mastitis from the appalling conditions in the dairy industry. Mastitis causes swelling and pus to form in the udders which is then transferred into the milk.
So if you want to be drinking a glass of pus filled, antibiotic laced stuff intended for baby cows, go ahead. It won't make any difference to your height though.

yes, milk is full of vital calcium and vitamins. a healthy balanced diet is the best thing for all ages, but remember that nothing will make you grow faster or taller than you were meant to be. it's programed in your genes and at 13 there really is no way to tell how short or tall or whatever you will be. you probably keep growing till you're in your late teens and even then once you've reached your full height you may still change shape a lot.

Yes, you are still growing and drinking milk will help keep your bones and teeth strong as you get older. I didn't really like milk too much as a teenager and neither did my Mom. At age 60, she already has pourous and soft bones that are deteriorating fast. I also have problems in my 40's with my teeth softening. So, if you like milk, drink it for your future life!

You cannot make yourself develop taller, it's all down to genetics. You are best thirteen and you'll have lots of growth spurts between now and when you're 16. Boys do not discontinue developing except they may be 18 or so, so you have without doubt nothing to fear about, your peak is exceptional anyway:)
