The official GMATPrep practice tests are just like the real thing and are a very good predictor of your score in the real test. You can get these from http://www.mba.com/mba/TaketheGMAT/ToolsToHelpYouPrepare/GMATPrepProducts/FreeGMATPrepTestPreparationSoftwarein2006.htm

They only provide 2 practice tests and if you retake any of the tests they will no longer be a good predictor of your score since you will have attempted some of the questions previously.

Practice tests from other companies vary in quality in terms of the questions they provide and their scoring algorithms and are therefore not as useful for predicting how well you will do in the test.

It totally depends on the testing conditions. And on the sample tests you got.

The official ones are about 20% easier, perhaps even more so if you've studied on a prep course. There are others you can take that are more on the level.

that's what my scholars are asserting. additionally they propose tackling all of the questions from The good handbook the GMAT earlier the simulations so which you're mushy with the fabric.
