Many old traditions are still being followed all over the world. For example, religious holidays are still celebrated after many generations. But in any country, some older traditions and practices are no longer followed.

Yes, may be the way, name, tittle etc. are different. After all, old or new has everything the same like worldly attachment, desire etc. being the same human and characteristics.

people just make changes over time ,new traditions generate them selves from older ones but they are just mentored.
