Usually when something doesn't digest well in your stomach, it can create gas. He's either developed allergies or is getting on in age, which means his stomach acids aren't breaking his food down correctily. You need to find out what the culprit is and don't let him eat it, or get some enzymes that will help digest his food. Go to your local pharmacy and pick up some gas-x tablets. He needs to be considerate and leave the room when he farts.Or he needs to sleep on the couch not you.

Yes, of course I'd sleep away from him if that means that i'll get some sleep! If he cares about whether you sleep with him, he should see a doctor or nutritionist. Seems to me like he really has to watch what he eats especially before bedtime!

That would not be the cure of the problem, would it? No. I would find some tablets which reduces or stop gas in the stomach.
Deal with the problem and don't run away from it. She is your wife, and I suppose you still love her, don't you?!
All the best!

No, first I'd try sleeping the other way up by his head, and secondly I'd stop cooking the tripe pies, best of luck.
