crying wont hurt your baby. he or she can respond to your moods a bit later in a very vague way; that is he might wriggle more if you're upset and settle more when you're relaxed, but you wont hurt him by crying. your hormones are all over the place right now so if you need to cry go ahead and cry, your baby will be fine. dont worry that you havent felt him move yet, that will take a few more weeks.

Crying is fine, we all do it pregnant. Crying is a way for the body to expel exes hormones so it's probably good. If you are worried about your baby not moving, drink a full glass of orange juice and lie down, I think it was the left side my doctor told me, when I was worried about it, count the movements for the next hour if the baby doesn't move at all, or you're still worried, call call your doctor, that's what they are there for.. Oops , sorry, you are only 18 weeks, the baby is likely too small for you to feel yet, you will feel it soon.

Awww, crying won't harm the baby. No need to worry! I'm 18 weeks pregnant as well and I cry all the time. My Boyfriend laughs at me because I have recently started crying during commercials too. You know what is strange, whenever I cry my baby always starts to move around. I think its his way of trying to cheer me up, and it always works.

No the baby should be fine and you will generally feel movemants at about 20 weeks, so you've a coulple of weeks to go yet.
I was a bit the same with my previous pregnancy and he was just fine. I was having a very emotional time.
If your really worried then book an appointment with your midwife to check the babys ok... You should be able to hear the heart beat of the baby now...
Good luck and I hope everything is ok!

I was also under lots of stress the other night and cried. I worried about my baby's health after that and tried to search on the web about it. I do not remember the website but it says it can't harm the baby physically but mentally, she/he can have low self-esteem, worrieable life, under lots of stress, and other negative effectives mentally. Try to be happy as much as you can. I pray to god to have a healthy baby. You also talk to the baby that you are sorry and why you cried and you talk to her good ways. Babies learn even in the tummy although they may not yet fully developed. that's myth but it's true. You do not think and do bad behaviors. Because she/he is learning of your activities.
About your boyfriend, whether he doesn't know or he does know what he wants, you will have to deliver the baby anyway, relax and forget about what he wants. Consider of what you want which is the healthy baby. :)

I'm sure your baby is ok. Stress does affect the baby over time, so please try to relax. (easier said than done right)
I was a first time mom and didnt feel my baby move until 23 weeks so the fact that you havet felt it move is ok.
Good luck I hope everything works out!! Congratulations on your baby!

Stressing out will pass over to the baby, but I used to really have hysterics when I was pregnant, I couldn't hold back and cried my eyes out (rowing with people, hubby etc).
Baby is probably just fine, but remember that when you're tense and uptight, your stomach muscles are tight over baby and you won't feel the smaller movements baby makes. (midwife told me that when same happened with me).
Try not to panic, but if you're really worried see your midwife for a check up.

Tears produced while weeping or crying are due to emotional stress. These tears are commonly associated with negative emotions like physical pain, depression, grief or being hurt. More details and information at http://eye-care.in/tears.html

crying will not hurt the baby ,a lot of mothers are upset when they find them selves pregnant especially if its unplanned ,just work out your problems and try to take care of your self ,you will feel kicks soon but its not unusual for first baby's to not kick till 20 weeks or even more .
